Grace McIlveen was born on the 29th June 1921 in Yorkshire. The 'Yorkshire lass' always preferred to be called Jenny (a shortening of her maiden name) and had two wonderful children, Susan and Tony (Anthony to her), and four beloved grandchildren; Tara, Shona, Ben and Joe. Jenny was loved by everyone around her - for her strength, wisdom and humour. She trained as a nurse and became a midwife, served in WW2, and lived her life looking after her family and others.
It was an incredible achievement to make it to 100 years old and receive a letter from the Queen and this year she would be celebrating her 102nd birthday which is testament to her resilience and strength.
An incredible mother, mother in-law and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Rest peacefully 💜
